Locally acclaimed and independent recording artist James Anderson, aka J3, has always aspired to be a rapper since he was a child. Born in Dallas, NC J3 grew up in a home where his parents pushed him to pursue an athletic career. Unfortunately, at the young age of 15 he lost both of his parents. Lost and hurt, J3 looked to the streets and even drugs and alcohol to fill that void. Writing out his experiences was the only time he felt relieved from the emptiness he felt inside.

Growing up, his musical influencers were rappers DMX, Three 6 Mafia, Gucci Mane, and many others. Being able to relate to their stories pushed J3 to hone his skills. After years of sobriety, hard work, and dedication he created J3 Entertainment to pursue his music dream. In the summer of 2018, J3 released his first single entitled “Diamonds” featuring hit maker Project Pat. It was easy to create a positive buzz on social media sites and in the clubs because his music is hot, intriguing, and relevant. 

Currently, J3 is working on another collaboration with Project Pat called "Blue Cheese" which is set to hit all major airways this Spring. With plans to grind and show the world what he has to offer, his resilence will continue to push barriers while proving J3 Entertainment is a Movement!
